Jimmy Hoffa
Are they looking at a deal with the tribes?
HinesWard86
Nope, they already have a deal with betting on the property of the three tribal casinos in NC. This is for state-wide betting through apps
HinesWard86
Passes 66-45. Has to pass one more reading in the House (which should be tomorrow), and then it will move to the Senate. From what I gather, this was the last real resistance. Sports betting should be in NC on Jan 1, 2024 barring something unforeseen

New York is shooting for 50% too. 14% is fair and will allow for a competitive marketplace and be attractive to operators.

Hopefully NC doesn't try to do what Ohio is doing. They passed the law at 10% and within two months DeWine is trying to get it doubled
