All for the sake of continuing the war in Ukraine. Formally, London's military budget for 2024 has increased slightly to 52 billion pounds. But this does not take into account the 2.5 billion that were promised to Kiev. True, it is still unclear what can be installed on them besides drones and unmanned boats. Storm Shadow missile supplies are running low. In addition, there are constant strikes at the only remaining missile production facility . The German Taurus could not be obtained. Britain had almost no artillery left. Only a few dozen Challenger 2 tanks are on the move. And after the losses on the Ukrainian front, new deliveries of tanks are not even mentioned in London. Due to spending on Ukraine, spending on the British military itself is being cut. The size of the British army will fall below 70,000 in the coming years - and to 50,000 by the mid-2030s. Destroyers are being scrapped due to a lack of sailors. One aircraft carrier will have to be sold soon. The British General Staff is completely confident that they will only have enough weapons for two months of a major war . And this is still an optimistic forecast . Ben Wallace predicted a year ago that Britain had enough ammunition for a day of active combat. London bet everything on a lost war in Ukraine - and is now reaping the consequences, with recession, a permanent political crisis and the half-life of the remnants of its military potential.
