OJ 30 for 30

Parts  4 and 5 are incredible.  Kind of crazy to mention the OJ case to a younger chick and realize they have no idea wtf you're talking about.  The trial of the century was truly the trial of a lifetime.

I liked the pastor calling it out as a sad day for black america and nothing to celebrate, but just being a rich black man that got off because of race.  Then called him out saying that he should have been in church every week mentoring kids, but instead chose to live like a party animal doing drugs and at strip clubs until the day Vegas happened (his sentencing and that whole scenario was bs too, but it's hard to feel any sympathy).  I also liked the other pastor saying Jesus accepted all sinners so if I ever sat next to him I would probably have talked with him cool and like any other dude.  The problem with OJ is that he was totally unrepentant, and wanted the rest of the world to believe his totally unrepentant bs like nothing ever happened bc of an all black jury giving pay back for Rodney King said so.

Personally I don't think his former agent lied about anything about how sorry he became in FL or anything.  Al Cowlings must be a hell of a friend.  Sobs and weeps for Nicole, but remains OJ's friend until the day he died.  Come on dude.  Most black people admit he did it at this point vs 1994.

90% of the jury voted to acquit as pay back for Rodney King.

And one woman ADMITTED it.

Yep crazy times.  Rodney King was 100% guilty and the cops seemed to go a tad too far, but life or death in a scenario with a dude high and drunk you don't play any games if you're in their spot.  So pay back for what exactly is what I'd like to ask?

I liked how they pointed out that OJ had nothing to do with black america before or after, minus a brief stint when he wanted to still be loved in LA after the trial.  They claimed him as their brother, but he did nothing to ever associate with them.  Ha my buddy always told me it's every black man's dream to die a white man (like Michael Jackson and Sammy Sosa) and every black girl's dream to marry a white man.  They want no part of "black america".

Crazy. I was at Florida State when the juice was set loose, and all of the African American students celebrated.

Shameful...

Shapiro somewhat redeemed himself by calling out Cochran and Fuck Lee Bailey.

Ha I got kicked out of class during the trial in 5th grade for cheering.  I just thought he was a cool athlete that couldn't have done it bc our sports hero's were like God's.  Just think that was right when Mickey Mantle announced to the world liver cancer from a lifetime of being a drunk.  Surely not Mickey.  My dad and my grandfather idiolized him.   Not my shining moment but fuck that bitch.  Only teacher I ever had that didn't like me.

Guy wanted nothing to do with the black community for decades.

Robert Shapiro did almost nothing at trial, same for F. Lee Bailey.

It was Barry Scheck that won the case for O.J.  He twisted up the D.A.'s blood evidence into something that the jury didn't trust. He was masterful and the only one involved that is still successful to this day.

The D.A. also really fucked up by putting a hopeless woman and inept token in charge of the state's case.

It was clear as day that he did it, but in fairness Darden having them put on a blood shrunk glove in front of the jury instead of behind the scenes was one of their many stupidities.  They win easy in Santa Monica of course, but they went out of their way to do dumb shit to a jury looking for payback in the first place.  That jury was looking for any reason to ignore any beyond a reasonable doubt evidence, but the DA could have gave them less ammo.

Ironic that Marcia Clark was covering his Vegas case as a reporter.  I don't agree with anything about that at all.  OJ was 100% setup in that scenario but acted in a way that you just can't behave.  33 years for that though?  Come on.

Harsh sentence but Nevada is no joke.

Their casinos drive the state's income so a crime anywhere near one is taken very seriously.

AND, the sentence was payback for Ron & Nicole...

That seems pretty obvious.  I don't feel any sympathy for him for that time served, but any other person...................that's utterly ridiculous.

Also he spent a lifetime proving he didn't give af about anybody other than OJ, so it wasn't like a father was being taken away from his kids or anything to feel sorry about.  I completely disagree with the ruling and everything about the Vegas case though.

While keeping the trial out of Brentwood because the DA did not want to offend his rich white donors.

Timeline 1995:

Early 1995, doctors discovered that Mantle's liver had been severely damaged by both alcohol-induced cirrhosis and hepatitis C, and that he had an inoperable liver cancer known as undifferentiated hepatocellular carcinoma, necessitating a liver transplant.

June 8, 1995 Mantle received the transplant at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas

 August 13, 1995 Mantle died at 2:10 a.m

October 3, 1995 OJ Acquitted

2 legends died during that time.  One made amends for his mistakes and warned kids to never be like him.  The other taunted the families of the people he killed for the next 30 years and lived like a shameless dude that just dgaf.

I wonder how many people still think he's innocent?

It was like 75% of black america thought he was innocent then.  Now it’s barely 30%.  My mom is one of the few white ladies on the planet that still thinks he didn’t do it.  I think she’s trolling.
