LCD
This is really for Yisman so nothing to see here... I think Froome is cheating. Chasing down attacks from multiple contenders. And it's not just the mysterious VO2 max and the selective release of data which makes him look even more suspicious. It's watching Poels and Porte (and Thomas earlier) pull him up the mountain. They should not have been there. It's completely out of the Lance Armstrong playbook of having a couple of teammates who are doping to help you along. I think those are the only four main guys who were cheating. Everyone else looked mortal. Lemond who has been right again and again seems to have pretty much decided what's going on. Also thought the TV coverage (who have always been stubbornly blind about cheating) was hilarious in that they ignored the fact that Froome was booed all the way up the Alpe. Like let's just pretend it's not happening. Watching Quintana trying to put time on Froome and catch Pinot (who has released his data so a good guy) was awesome which makes Froome's probable cheating even more depressing. I think he fucked up what would have been one of the greatest Tour's ever. Quintana is the man. We'll find out sooner or later.
HRWager
The only problem I have with your theory is that if Froome is cheating why did he look so vulnerable yesterday?

LCD
Your expectation for cheating can't be that if Froome is cheating he's always going to be able to cheat like Lance (who never had a bad day ever and was cheating in obviously a systematic dominant way we won't ever see again). And did Froome really have a bad day. He still rode away from Nibali (obviously had a bike problem) and Contador again (those are two of the best climbers in the world) and was only vulnerable (not really) to a once in a generation climber. This year's course was set up to massively favor climbers so Quintana in a normal year wouldn't have been as close. Froome's times for much of the Tour compare to cyclists who doped in the past. Lemond is saying the same thing he said when he watched Armstrong but this time he can't be ignored. Maybe Froome's not doping. But the narrative of the race is so very different in France where they are racing than in the US or in England. The French get Lemond we get Roll. http://sportsscientists.com/2015/07/comparative-and-longitudinal-physiology/ We'll find out the truth eventually. LCD
that was an act...Pretty much spot on. They knew exactly how much time they could give up and when he had to go he powered away again. The booing was crazy. If Froome isn't cheating then it's pretty depressing that this is the world that Lance left us.
Dire Straits
The sport is a joke. And more of its athlete dope than any other sport. I would say over half of the cyclist are doping. In essence, the winner is the better athlete out of the dopers.
