  1. I think that's the right look TN. I'd play it at anything under 3 touchdowns. I think Baylor blows them out of the yard.
  2. Chiefs moved the ball on both drives. In typical Reid fashion gonna be a game where 3rd downs matter.
  3. At what point is Baylor out of range? Opened at -13, now -16.5. I think it'll keep going. Texas is an overmatched team. They don't have the athletes. Charlie Strong suspends everybody. It's a home game but Baylor is right up the road, so not really an issue. Half the stadium will be in from Waco if that matters. I think Strong can turn the program around but it doesn't seem like this year it's in the cards. They beat Kansas, so what. Give me three random posters and I will beat Kansas.
  4. I think I like the As too, King. Good luck!
  5. I think I only ever tried to play these in the Super Bowl, but they're fun to talk about. You could bet Gronkowski to Bowe or Davis and if one of them hit you lose nothing, right? So who is the biggest threat beneath them?
  6. I agree, Kluber deserves it but Felix has the name recognition and people are going to overrate the Mariners all the way through the start of next year, so I think he wins it.
  7. Yeah I think it looks bad. You could take it as just free advertising when they slowpay a contest, but if it's free it's hard to complain too much, other than to steer clear of their future contests.
  8. Indeed. That was the best first half of Tony Romo's life
  9. Yep. According to Sports Options it was the 3rd most popular side of the week.
  10. Was there any prop anywhere this year about number of games Vick starts this year? You were basically betting on the Jets record its first 5-6 weeks in my opinion. Ryan has no where to go, his job is likely on the line, and he's not above getting desperate. It wouldn't shock me if we see Vick next week.
  11. "Public"/Majority bet sides have are 8-2 with 2 games to go in the NFL week. According to David Payne Purdum, they needed a Minnesota outright win to stay in the black on football heading into the night game. According to my NFL Master Sheet, the books are 31-27 in 2014 right now. They're 8-18 the last two weeks.
  12. Industry standard is no action on pitching change, no? Surprised by this...
  13. It appears there will be no extra games this year with the opportunity for three today. The MLB Playoffs will be: American League: PLAY IN GAME: Oakland Athletics at Kansas City Royals Oakland/Kansas City vs. Los Angeles Angels (Home field advantage) Detroit Tigers at Baltimore Orioles (Home field advantage) National League: PLAY IN GAME: San Francisco Giants at Pittsburgh Pirates San Francisco/Pittsburgh vs. Washington Nationals (Home field advantage) St. Louis Cardinals at Los Angeles Dodgers (Home field advantage) Games start Tuesday.
  14. Especially impressive considering Chicago only scored 17 points
  15. Today: New Orleans Saints -3 -105 Miami Dolphins -3.5 -110 Jaguars/Chargers Over 44.5 -110 Houston Texans -2.5 -110 Detroit Tigers -1.5 -110 Seattle Mariners -1.5 +112 New York Yankees ML -108
  16. Been expanding into bitcoin books as I talked about on the podcast recently, took a look at Anonibet today. Not a fan. They only offer moneylines for football. No sides or totals. (And they don't offer every game or even close) As opposed to other bitcoin books I've worked with (like Nitrogen), the withdrawals aren't instant -- they are "manually approved" and can take up to 2 hours during business hours or 8 hours during off-hours. Obviously still better than the deposit/withdrawal of traditional offshores but not even close to what other bitcoin books are offering. I asked them about the line offerings and they claim they'll be offering more football lines in the "coming future", but they've been around since 2011 so I don't know. First bitcoin book with which I've been truly disappointed...
  17. Probably not up there with Ruth, but he is basically in his own stratsophere. Remember that Ruth was out homering most teams; doing something so above the norm. I'd put him in that next tier though. Mantle, DiMaggio, etc. Jeter's power numbers and defense are what people always bring up when they say he's overrated. But his numbers are pretty good outside of the steroid era. He's a Top 10 Yankee.
  18. Thanks try... Looks like it closed at 27.5 at 5D. Good luck today.
  19. Missouri/South Carolina Over 62 -105 Pittsburgh Pirates -1.5 +105 That should wrap it up today.
  20. According to the fine people at Sports Options, here are some reverse moves against public numbers. Take these for what they're worth 80% on Michigan State, line has dropped from 32.5 to 28.5 72% on Bowling Green, line has dropped from 10 to 5.5 60% on Rice, line has dropped from 10 to 8.5 68% on Notre Dame, line has dropped from 14 to 8.5 58% on USC, line has dropped from 10.5 to 8 71% on Texas, line has dropped from 14.5 to 12 55% on Cincinnati, line has raised from 14 to 18 56% on Boise State, line has dropped from 14 to 13
  21. 0-3 on Thursday. No selections yesterday. One of those runs! Alright, how about some $ today. Here is what I'm on now, might have a few more later: I missed the number on a few of these. Been a battle in football this year: Notre Dame -9 -110 Memphis/Ole Miss Over 58.5 -110 UTSA -4 -110 Iowa -9 -110 Duke +6.5 -105 Colorado State +9.5 -110 Bowling Green -4.5 -110 Kentucky -17 -110
  22. Currently -8.5. The line opened at 14 and despite 68% of bets on the Irish it has dropped 5.5 points this week. Syracuse is coming off a 14 point home loss to Maryland. They're 2-1 on the season, having beat Villanova in overtime in their home opener and Central Michigan in a blowout on the road. Villanova is a good, but not great, FCS club. Two years removed from a National Title game loss, Notre Dame is 8th in the country after 3 weeks, propped up by a (now seemingly less valuable) Michigan blow-out. Notre Dame did, however, struggle for a half against an undermanned Purdue team two weeks ago. This one is a bit quizzical to me. I think Brian Kelly is going to have his boys ready to play. With the Big Ten in disarray and the Pac 12 being so strong, there are going to be a lot of 1 loss teams, and I think the Irish think they can (at least for now) quietly get through to the playoff. The main worry here is Notre Dame looking ahead to Stanford next week, a loss from last year they might want to avenge. Notre Dame has I don't think I like it at 14 but at 8.5, I'll take the Fighting Irish. The total, by the way, at 51.5, has gone under in 6 of Notre Dame's last 7 and 4 of Syracuse's last 6 games. Good luck today.
