Reducing roster size by 3 will eliminate the problem of guys picking up players right after lineups lock. Nobody will want to drop a good player. We could also set a max of 5 pickups allowed per week.dont think TN and others are just upset about the 7 pm pickups right when lineups lock its also that some guys are always around or able to pick up players right when breaking news from roto hits that player X is being called up to MLB, or Closer A has a serious injury so player Y is the new closer etc Locked waivers allows everybody to digest that info and decide who they want to pick up instead of just having the guys with easiest/most access to breaking info getting all the popular pickups Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Can just make it clear guys have to plan their rosters better. Not as if much info will change either between Sunday night and Monday when lineups lock I do agree it would be better to have it open Sun night-Monday when lineups lock but if thats not possible dont think we need to go the "commish will pickup guys for everyone" route thats too much But having lineups locked is a better and more fair option than continuing to give a handful of guys a huge adv by letting them have first dibs at all the great pickups Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
