Even an increase to the top tax bracket of around 20% would sufficiently allow him to cut down the national debt as well as implementing the program's he wants. Not politicians.Im not that cynical where i think who the president (or Prime Minister for Canada) is doesnt matter at all. I believe they have plenty of influence and real power Yes i believe they have people who they need to keep happy and answer to. Also its not as simple as POTUS wants some reform in an area so it happens. Congress has to be on board also (or the House of Commons for canada). Obama has wanted to reform gun laws but he has no chance since the current senate will never let it happen. Plenty of examples of depressing politics where the sole purpose of some people is to simply work against the man or woman in charge. No real desire to help american people, just stop someone they see as an enemy even though he was the overwhelming choice to be president Also even if you do view it through such a cynical lens it still is a great money making opp. A few of us have been big on Clinton for over a year now getting in at even money or even better. Now up to -300.
