BrockBankrupt
Fire originated south of Fort Mac. With a wind change it moved north into parts of the City but is now moving south again. The fire in Fort Mac itself has been put out but the threat is still there depending on weather conditions.

plommer
I must say after watching the national news tonight on CBC I'm very proud of my country's response to the disaster. Canadians are extremely generous. $22 million in donations to the Canadian Red Cross in less than two days. People from every Canadian province and territory finding ways to offer assistance and help those in need. Estimates as high as 4.7Billion in insurance claims to rebuild the city. Plommer is a very proud canuck and grateful to live in such a fine country.

BrockBankrupt
Possessions lost but no loss of life. A lot of heartfelt stories mixed in with anguish of loss. Donations from coast to coast (and elsewhere) and social media really helping people in need. Hope they see some rain soon.
