In a 20 horse field so many things can go wrong and even if he's 15 lengths the best horse a bad trip or bad luck can take him out of it. There are some talented nags in the field. I'm a skeptic and in horse racing thats a good thing or you will find yourself betting the chalk every race all the time. When a low priced horse gets beat I feal like a schmuck for betting it, when a longshot gets beat its expected but when the long ones come in its BOOM! FILL YOUR POCKETS. I am always looking for a spot where the fave is overbet and vulnerable. I wouldn't have hit payouts as high as $27000 betting chalk. I can recover from missing a $6 winner.
