I see this team winning exactly around 7 games which matches up perfectly with what Bovada has which is 7 on the mark. Rivers is a good QB but their GM has really let him down with the subpar roster talent the past couple years.

Denver's retained combination of solid ground game, solid defense, great kicker means the QB need only match up with Peyton's 30th ranked passing numbers to have them nab 10+ wins again

Del Rio could be the key for The Greatness to return at long last to playoff contention.

Jamal Charles takes dip that nearly every great RB experiences at the five to six year mark and KC flounders in same mud as Chargers, both struggle to reach eight wins

THANKS to Mike75 for persistence in creating these nice preseason summary threads

Your welcome!!   With this one here i wrapped up the 4 AFC divisions now all i have left are the 4 NFC divisions.

Also i tried to put as much info as i could on each team to where you get a good feel for how each one may do. For instance i put how the team was ranked in total offense including points, yards, passing and rushing same goes for defense. Then i put who they drafted along with who they brought in and let go as well as the starting roster.

Once i'm done with this i'm thinking about doing a thing starting the first day of August where i do one team a day from the first day until the end of that month and rank the teams starting with the worst and working my way down until the last day of August where i unveil my number one team. When i do that i might add some extra stuff.

These days i only keep up with one sport and thats NFL football between the draft, free agency, training camp, regular season, post season, etc. i love it and its the only sport i keep up with.

I began watching NFL football as a ten year old kid back in the 1980's around '85 or so the year the Chicago Bears when my dad got me on a football team before that i knew nothing about any sports period. At first i was into NBA for a few years becoming a huge Larry Bird and Celts fan. I remember seeing Pete Rose break Ty Cobb's hit record. I also remember watching Tyson destroy other boxers in less than thirty seconds flat most times. No boxer except Ali was as good as Iron Mike in his prime. Used to watch Tennessee Vols football including the '98 title. Anyway as years went by i found myself only liking pro football.

For many years i was mainly a LA Raiders fan only because Tennessee had no pro team nor did i think they ever would it just seem to far fetched. Then in 1999 after countless seasons watching pro football imagine my happiness when i found out Tennessee was getting its own team with a brand new stadium and ditching the name the team did have for a fresh start. The Titans hooked me in for life with that first season they had.

In their first season as the Tennessee Titans it was a year no one here would ever forget they made the Super Bowl. In the postseason they managed to have one of the most talked about plays in NFL history The Music City Miracle. What was truly nuts is even though we were 13-3 we did not win our division. The division winner was 14-2 Jacksonville Jaguars then the Jags season was over at 15-3 when we beat the Jags in the AFC Championship to reach the Super Bowl. All 3 Jaguars losses that year were to Tennessee. The Titans ran out of time they were one yard and a couple seconds from tying the Rams in the Super Bowl.

From 1999-2008 the Titans were among the top five teams in the NFL in wins on their 10th anniversary. They had 3 different 13-3 seasons,12-4 season,11-5 season and a 10-6 season. Made the postseason six times and won their division on three different occassions. They were 13-3 in 2008,8-8 in 2009 and in 2010 were 6-10. In 2011 the team went 9-7 and were a hair from making the postseason.

Well i had a few friends where i live all get together and we watch games on Sunday during the season. Well this one guy kept swearing up and down that historically since the team has been the Titans  in 1999 until the present that they've been the worst team in the league. No where near true.

From 1999-2011 the Titans had 9 seasons at .500 or better,7 winning seasons,6 playoff appearances,3 division titles,2 times league best record and 1 Super Bowl appearance. All this bad shit started happening in 2012 through 2015 because the Titans had not only hired a shitty GM but they ended up with an equally shitty QB. You can get by with either a shitty QB or GM as long as the other is doing a really good job but if both aren't the team is screwed.

The team has an undeserved losers reputation based on the last 4 years 2012 through the present day and the biggest mistakes were hiring Ruston Webster as GM and drafting Jake Locker as QB.

Anyway long story short the Titans got the best QB in the 2015 draft in Mariota. Mariota has the longest run of 2015 with one going for 87 yards. His very first game he had a perfect game he also threw 4 TD's. He had 4 games with 3+ TD passes, tied with Peyton Manning for most ever by rookie QB. Mariota was first player NFL history with 250+ pass yds, 100+ rush yds & 3 TD passes in a game. Anyway they finally found their QB. Well now they got their GM too Jon Robinson. Robinson ended up dealing the Titans first draft pick for a boatload of picks which not only included many 2016 picks but the Titans now had two first round picks in 2017 too. The Titans not only have a damn good QB now but their GM is doing a pretty good job as well. They are about to bounce back.

Going forward with a better QB and GM the 2012 through 2015 stretch will be a bad memory. In fact 4 straight losing seasons is the longest stretch in Titans history of losing. Anyway remember the idiot saying historically that the Titans were worse ever?

The Jacksonville Jags who by the way have a decade straight of losing seasons including 5 straight seasons of 5-11,2-14,4-12,3-13 and then 5-11. Also Cleveland who has one winning season in the past 13 years no playoffs. Oakland Raiders have 13 straight losing seasons in a row. The Buffalo Bills in the past 16 years have two 9-7 seasons and no postseasons. St Louis Rams have 13 straight losing seasons including one three year stretch where they went 1-15,2-14 and 3-13. Since 2000 Detroit has three winning seasons and two postseason appearances including a stretch where they went 3-13,0-16 and 2-14,yikes.

The examples i just gave all those teams are bad. Sure the Titans have 4 straight losing seasons due to the hiring of a bad GM and drafting of a bad QB. However both are gone and now replaced with a really good QB and a equally good GM. So those 4 straight losing years might be a thing of the past. Whatever the deal is the Titans would have to have five or six more losing years to be thrown in the shitty company that was accomplished above.

you lost me at Rivers

and Gates is about a 100 years old

i'll give you brandon mebane though

and still not sold on Bosa after such a miserable senior year at ohio state

verrett made pro bowl last year one of top young corners in football

Ingram had over 10 sacks last year

Attouchu had 6 sacks and was finally healthy

Bosa has been blowing people up in practice and expect big things

Allen was tearing it up before lacerating kidney last year

Perryman is one of the bright young linebackers in the league and a big hitter

I'll go ahead and say this now and get it out of the way. I think Phillip Rivers is one of the very best QB in the league. Rivers IS the best QB in the AFC WEST. Unfortunately the Chargers have a really bad defense mostly they cannot stop the run period which is why they were 4-12 last year. Give the Chargers and Rivers a good defense and they would easily win the division. However they have a terrible defense and gave up i shit you not 300 yards rushing the other night in their first preseason game. Chargers won't win until its fixed.

The division will most likely come down to Kansas City and Oakland. KC has great depth and some good players and Oakland is building something good as well. Oakland will win this division by virtue of an easier schedule.

KC plays Texans,Steelers,Raiders,Colts and Panthers all on the road before mid November. Also play New Orleans,Jax,Denver, etc.

Oakland play Tennessee,Baltimore,Atlanta,Buffalo,San Diego,etc.

My vote is for Oakland they will win the AFC WEST in 2016
