PREDICTIONS FOR CAROLINA IN 2016:

I think Carolina could be a force in 2016 just like they were in 2015 but i do think they will not win as many games this year for a couple reasons. The first reason is the schedule this year will be much harder as they will face Denver,Minnesota,Seattle,Arizona,Kansas City,Oakland,Washington,San Diego thats a lot of teams that will all be in the mix this year for the postseason. The second reason is that every team in their division in the NFC South will be better especially Tampa Bay a team i expect to make a major leap. I think New Orleans and Atlanta will be a lot better this year as well. Bovada has the Panthers at 10.5 i say under and they win 10 games solid.

Panthers coach Ron Rivera said Sunday that Kelvin Benjamin has struggled with conditioning during camp.

Rivera said the goal is to get Benjamin to "where he can handle 30-35 snaps by the end of the preseason." Benjamin has reportedly been getting "winded" after running deep routes. Benjamin has struggled with conditioning and his weight in the past, making this a situation to monitor. The Panthers used a four-way receiver committee last year, something they could re-implement if Benjamin can't open the season capable of playing full complements of snaps.

The Charlotte Observer believes Panthers WR Devin Funchess is "ready to break through in a big way."

According to reporter Joseph Person, Funchess has "continually (gotten) behind the first-team secondary and hauled in bombs from Cam Newton." LB Thomas Davis has been singing Funchess' praises. "Man, Funch had an amazing camp," Davis said. "And it really started with OTAs and minicamp." The glowing reports come the same day ESPN's David Newton called Funchess one of the MVPs of Panthers camp. Funchess is well worth a WR4/5 flier.
