Well he invaded 2 countries and kept both wars off the books. In addition to a prescription drug program also conveniently off the books. So yes, I blame W. Do you blame Obama for that too?

So you think that caused the recession? Okie dokie.

Mr. Obama also announced the resolution of another argument between Tehran and Washington that dates to the Iranian revolution, this one over $400 million in payments for military equipment that the United States sold to the shah of Iran and never delivered when he was overthrown. The Iranians got their money back, with $1.3 billion in interest that had accumulated over 37 years.

From an article in January. So much for that, huh Cop?

So much for secretly sent the money. Obama and his press secretary literally discussed and answered questions on this 8 months ago; and admitted to such payment.

It doesn't mean it wasn't the US succumbing to Iranian pressures, but this certainly wasn't some big bad hidden secret. It was public knowledge months back, and the portrayal of this today has been completely misrepresented.

I am not stupid enough to buy the timing of the payments being 100% coincidence, but I do imagine this was a diplomatic decision over a case Iran has been fighting with the US for 3+ decades, and we used the leverage of the "owed payment" to also get something we wanted. Not saying it was the right move, but certainly not some hidden, secretive payment as it is now being portrayed as.

JUDD GREGG RANKING MEMBER, SENATE BUDGET COMMITTEE (R-N.H.)

You're concerned about spending. We have [Federal Reserve Chairman Alan] Greenspan putting money out there to beat the band; didn't take the punch bowl away when the party got started. We have tremendous deregulation, which allowed this casino to sit on top of the real economy. And we have some wars that -- according to [economist] Joseph Stiglitz, Iraq alone … is a $3 trillion war. Does that suggest that the Republican Party has not been a good steward of the government and the problem that you are concerned about, the national debt?

"There is no question the Republican Party did not do a good job governing on the side of fiscal restraint, which should be one of our strengths. Here's a party who have always stood for fiscal restraint, a smaller government, lower taxes and a strong national defense. …

But there is no question we didn't do a good job on restraining the growth of government, and we spent a lot of money we didn't have. Things like the [Medicare] Part D drug program were truly a big mistake from the standpoint of fiscal policies. The Part D drug program alone added an $8 trillion unfunded liability to the federal books. If we were going to put that program on the books, we should have paid for it."

Copper following Fox Conservatard Playbook to spin Obama GDP report.

Since when was 3% the bellwether for a good economy? Well, since now of course.

On Friday, the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reported that 2015 U.S. real GDP (RGDP) growth was 2.38%. No matter what revisions are subsequently made, 2015 will have been the tenth year in a row that RGDP growth came in at under 3.0%. The longest previous such run in U.S. economic history was only four years, and the last time that this happened was during the Great Depression (1930 - 1933).

Even worse, and this should be the defining issue of the 2016 elections, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) is now forecasting that America will never see 3.0% economic growth again. This should be drawing howls of protest, at least from Republicans, but there has been little reaction thus far.

You never answered the question. Since when did 3% GDP become the bellwether indicator for a good economy?

GOP talking points 101.
