Meanwhile, Trump today takes a public shit on the Pentagon and the US foreign intelligence agencies while Glenn Beck - a guy who still has modest influence with traditional Republican voters - tells his followers to "bail now before it's too late to save down-ballot candidates"

Oh and Ivanka Trump hanging out in Europe with Vlad Putin's girlfriend

total awesomeness

Still a week to post your Hot Opinion....I am retreating to more profitable uses of my time but will absolutely honor terms of this contest as soon as the RNC accepts Trump's petulant resignation and/or the weekend after general election when whoever selects DOES NOT QUIT 35million votes will be the shoo-in winner

  • 2 weeks later...

Almost want to see Trump not quit and show up at first debate.

National (actually international) audience bigger than any he has ever appeared.

"Why do you not release your tax returns?"

"I am being audited"

"The IRS Director says that does not obstruct you from releasing your returns"

Everyone in the audience roars with laughter.

Trump's red face would be a sight to behold

On Aug 8, Trump announced at least two dozen campaign field offices would open in Florida "within the next two weeks".

Four weeks now and not one has opened. Clinton has 51 statewide

Trump campaign reported almost $42m raised in July but can only account for less than $10m spent.

Rueful observers forecast that if he waits until Sep 25 to quit the race he could possibly pocket almost $100m that donors intended for his Presidential campaign.

a sharp turnaround in an already volatile election season, support for Hillary Clinton tumbled as Donald Trump made gains over the past month, leaving the race a virtual tie.

The latest IBD/TIPP Poll shows that Clinton is now ahead of Trump by just one percentage point, 44% to 43% among likely voters. Last month, Clinton had a seven-point lead over Trump — 46% to 39% -- among registered voters.

You are correct, It's like there's no one at the helm of his campaign, he has a ton of popularity but does nothing to exploit it.

Popular is of course a subjective word.

He was clearly more popular to Republican primary voters than the other dozen short term contenders.

It does appear that remains the limit of his popularity with regard to being elected POTUS. Those who like him remain visible and vocal, but there have been literally no substantive gains since mid April.

Now today it is learned that ten of his top staffers have not been paid since at least late spring or longer.

He is not funding campaign offices, he is not paying top staff.

But he is paying all of his own properties which have hosted events and fully reimbursed his own travel expenses.

Rather awesome grift.....puts to shame the approx $10m that Sarah Palin was able to grift from her small cadre of believers back in the 2010-2012 era
