trytrytry
Da Silva's previous PB was 5.92. He's not just destroyed that, he's broken the Olympic record 6.03m. And set Rio alight in the process.

GreenDoberman
One more bonus bet I forgot to put but one that is one of my bigger bets of the tournament. I mentioned how corrupt this event is supposed to be and if you follow amateur boxing you know that often in the Olympics the host nation gets absolute gifts (Roy Jones and Kenny Egan won't argue this point). While Brazil is not a boxing powerhouse by any means, they do have one pretty decent boxer. At lightweight Robson Conceicao is currently 5th in the world and seeded 4th in the competition. He'll have to get by some decent boxers including a potential semifinal matchup with Alvarez of Cuba. But if you are a conspiracy theorist, and amateur boxing is certainly the place to be one, Conceicao is sitting at a juicy price of +1140. Don't be surprised if he starts getting dodgy decision after dodgy decision and ends up on the podium with gold. Bet: Robson Conceicao at +1140 (2.5 units) Conceicao won the Gold yesterday. +28.5 units.

GreenDoberman
Final Tally: Correctly picked 3 of the 10 gold medalists and hedge one other finalist. Brazilian in lightweight at over 11/1 was the big hit. +23.2 units for the tournament. US ended up with one silver and bronze in the men and one gold in the women's.
