The better...... 100% healthy and more experienced QB in Beathard A defense that should be nearly as good or better than last years, which was very good all-around......... .....Johnson on the DL, Jewell at MLB, and King in the secondary are all bonafide superstars at this level and beyond. ........ The worse........ A completely inexperienced punting and kicking game, a strength of last years team, this is a major concern for this coming season. Thin depth in the running game, Jordan Canzeri 2015 contributions will be sorely missed. Overall, the teams overall talent AND schedule are very similar to last year, which makes them a LEGIT top 15-20 team if they remain relatively healthy, but not enough overall depth and a questionable special teams unit keeps the team from being a LEGIT top ten team.........so all in all, and overall, a team that is relatively on par with the team of last year. Beathard will have to stay healthy and perform even better than he did last season for this team to win at least 12 games overall and finish in the top ten AP poll at seasons end, as last years team did..........Coach Ferentz said a few days ago, the top superstars on this team will have play even better than last year, if not, it's going to be a frustrating season in Iowa City. Iowa could make it, UT could, that would be a great time for the Tgf bash. Last time we played Tennessee could have won by 70. You guys have anyone outside? How are the lines?
