No it's just called the "W" it's a trendy hotel , from what I recall the "W" stands for whatever, whenever . They pride themselves on granting any request of their guests, whatever it may be whenever it may be requested.

Our first trip to NYC about 4 summers ago, we stayed at the Shoreham.  http://www.shorehamhotel.com

Not a 5 star hotel by any means, but it was priced right and in a good location.  Close to Central Park and only like a .5 mile walk to Times Square.  They upgraded us to a suite for free that had a separate living and bedroom.  Which was nice if you bring the kids.

If you have AAA, it looks like you can get a room under $200 (before tax) on August 28.  Which for Manhattan, is a great price.

Thank you.

Kinda surprised these hotels are less than $200 per night.  $163 plus tax for the "W".  I fully expected them to be more.

I was in the norfolk/newport news virginia area and the decent rooms were over $200.
