Deemer
Spankie and other computer IT type guys, I have a fairly new HP Envy laptop, the one that folds into a tablet. I'm getting the "plugged in, not charging" bullshit. I've tried restarting computer, unplugging the adapter, etc.... Also, tried updating the drivers for my battery from my device manager? What is next step? How do I know if it is the battery OR The charger?
maron
unistall driver and let the software find device upon reboot
Timely Hitting
take the battery out and leave it plugged in. turn computer on. if it works, the charger is fine. then do as Maron said. i like HP's, because they aren't overly priced and are solid, but there battery and charger issues suck. Deemer
Well, I can't take out battery of this model without like taking apart the entire fucking laptop. That's what sucks. So uninstall both Microsoft battery components as drivers and reboot, maron?

HP has been pretty good in my experience when it comes to returning a defective product for replacement even if past warranty period. ASUS good like that too. (affecting brightness)
