I have an HP that just did the same thing, brought it in and needed a new port.  Cost me like 90 bucks and i think the part was only 5 or 10.  Also have a new dell touch screen that had an operating system missing thing, brought that in and they sent it back to me with nothing but a black screen when i turn it on....fuckers.

I didnt figure you would just assume its the charger port when he is having a problem with his computer "charging."  Fuckin dipshit.

You don't know what you are talking about and aren't helping. No such thing as a charger port - dipshit.

We'll assume you mean the DC power jack. If you don't know what you are talking about you shouldn't say anything.

Deemer is there any play where the charger plugs into the port?  Try putting pressure on the cord to a few different directions and see if it starts charging when held a certain way.  Sounds like exact thing that happened with my HP, some days it would charge and other days it wouldnt.  Kept getting worse until the PORT was shot.
