FSU has been as hit and miss with big QB recruits as anyone, Deondre Francois is an insanely gifted QB, it makes the season more interesting now that the job is officially his.

Now that Ole Miss game will be especially interesting.

FSU redshirt freshman QB Deondre Francois indicated that he feels prepared to take on a starting role this coming season.

Ready or not, here he comes. Francois has yet to officially be named the starter, but that will come now that fellow QB combatant Sean Maguire has been ruled out for the next 4-6 weeks due to a foot injury. Said the 6-foot, 191-pound Francois, "I don't think the lights will be too bright. I believe in my preparation, and everything Coach Fisher has taught me is to stay humble and continue to trust the process." He was already starting to siphon first-team reps away from Maguire last week, so his ascension to the starting role might have occurred even without the unfortunate injury.
