milwaukee mike
always hear people say how proud they are to be drug/alcohol free but they still have tons of debt which leads to an unhealthy life, full of worry and stress easy enough to go to detox and get off the drugs within a week, but how is someone gonna pay off $50k of credit cards/student loans or $400k mortgage in a week? ain't gonna happen
Gabe
Agree 100%. Also a lot of these drug addicts move to cigarettes thinking it's ok.

TobyTyler
Unless you have a child addicted to smack in and out of rehab for past ten years pretty sure tough to formulate a realistic opinion without experiencing that pain. Ridiculous statement to be honest.

TerraFin
I don't know anyone getting off of drugs in a week. Don't use logic and reason with OP, he's on a roll.If he can get a meth head or heroin addict off of drugs in a week--he's sitting on a gold mine. The Dark Man
I have never been in debt, so I don't know that pain but detoxing and maintaining sobriety damn near killed me. Its not just the alcohol, it's the underlying reasons and illnesses that are the most painful. And yes I am proud. Almost 2 years now. Guest pocketrockets
It's ironic, cause it's easier to be debt free when you are drug free

High3rEl3m3nt
Debt is a real killer. If you can't relate to the stress and headaches it causes, consider yourself fortunate. Mike, was this thread created from the 5th stage of consciousness?
IAG
always hear people say how proud they are to be drug/alcohol free but they still have tons of debt which leads to an unhealthy life, full of worry and stress easy enough to go to detox and get off the drugs within a week, but how is someone gonna pay off $50k of credit cards/student loans or $400k mortgage in a week? ain't gonna happenThey can file bankruptcy....not so easy for an addict to pay $1000 and be stress free. I know student loans cannot be discharged, but if you have student loans, and are not on drugs, you are probably working and able to pay them.
