Anyone buying copper?

It is? I'm talking about pipes from vacant houses. Where can you steal 500 pounds of copper in 2 minutes?

Construction sites, street lights, building supply companies, transformer stations etc.

I could think of 1000 things easier and more lucrative to steal than copper but I'm not really into crime

Old man on the show "pawn stars" buys buckets and buckets of pennies hoping some day the gov will let people melt them down.  have a buddy that used to be in the hvac field and he would fill up a couple 5 gallon buckets a year of scrap and get a few hundy per bucket.  space would probably really be an issue if you started collecting wvu.

right now they're worth only $1.30

have to be pre-1982, some of the 1982s are copper, but 1983-present aren't

they will be worth the copper price at some point, even if you can't melt them, like old silver coins are now
