Noah Syndergaard calls Bryce Harper a ‘douche’ out of nowhere

Bryce Harper and Noah Syndergaard are well known for their competitive spirits and fiery attitudes on the baseball field. That conviction now apparently has translated off the field and into the social media world.

On Saturday afternoon, the former NL MVP Harper posted a video on his Instagram account with the message: “Let’s Go Buckeyes! #saturdaysarefortheboys.”

Harper’s wife played soccer at Ohio State University, which might explain why the Las Vegas native who went to the College of Southern Nevada was rooting for the Buckeyes in the Fiesta Bowl.

What was left without explanation, however, was a cryptic (and crude) comment left on the post by the Mets ace, first pointed out by Barstool Sports on Twitter.
