Dr. Paddy
I never even heard of the place until my niece mentioned it. It's good to see some solid posters giving it a thumbs up Ya, its beautiful, WVU. You're actually at Lake Louise there. Make sure you get a rental with winter tires. If you want to see a bit of country, I recommend going about an hour up the Icefields highway towards Jasper. Not all the way, but incredible. Or you can take the 3 hour drive through the Rogers Pass to Revelstoke and try that hill there. Also world class.
Dr. Paddy
Sis used to say the Hot Springs there were the best anywhere. The best Hotsprings are at Halcyon, down the Nakusp road from Revelstoke and just over the Arrow Lakes ferry. Or Ainsworth, about a 50 minute drive north from Nelson, along the east shore of Kootenay Lake.
