milwaukee mike
NW will probably lose out, finish 9-9 in the Big 10, shit the bed in the tourney and make the NIT. they are terrible but that isn't "probable", it's quite possible though which is why i cringed at all the "northwestern is a lock for the ncaa tournament" talk in this thread
FISHHEAD
Most sites predicting Dance participants have them as less than a -200 favorite on making Tourney

TobyTyler
give me Nebraska at a good # to win BigTen tournament. getting healthy now, maybe best backcourt in Big Ten.
rjt
NW will get in for the narrative alone. Plus the bubble is so weak this year. Lunardi has TCU (6-9 in conference) as the last team in the field. Clemson is currently among his "first 4 out." They're 14-13 overall and 4-11 in the ACC. Indiana and Pitt among his "next 4 out" right now. IU has lost 7 of 8 and is 5-10 in conference. Pitt is 4-11 in ACC.
rjt
Lunardi has NW as a 9 seed at the moment. He has 10 ACC teams in and 3 more on the bubble.
FISHHEAD
If NW losses next three games, they will not be favored to make the Dance heading to conference tourney.
milwaukee mike
Most sites predicting Dance participants have them as less than a -200 favorite on making Tourney and someone almost gave me +900 on the no before that last game

FISHHEAD
Yes, that would be correct......it's certainly not remotely close to being on par with such things as CFB, NFL, and MLB
milwaukee mike
Wow, find out what they are offering now one game later. with all the people in this thread saying they are a lock, someone here should have no problem giving me +900 at this point

milwaukee mike
Yup, very true......to bad you couldn't have snagged that or similar. was arguing with a buddy who said they were way over 90% to make it, so i said give me the +900 and he said "sure"... then when i said for 500 he froze up, and wouldn't even do it for 100 people's mouths are always writing checks their wallet won't cash
Bfo
I played Seton Hall at 500-1 at Cantor today. Had been 750 before the win last night, still the best number I saw in town. The problem with playing these power conference teams at nice prices is the expansion of the opening round. You used to be able to play these teams and if they found their way to the Sweet 16 you could usually hedge out for a profit. Since a lot of these types are 12 seeds they now find themselves in Dayton and they have to win 3 games to get there instead of 2. Not as easy as it used to be. FISHHEAD
BFO, you didn't grab anything on Minnesota? Cantor didn't even have them listed a week ago, or did William Hill.........they may still not, haven't checked. Seton Hall 500-1 at 5D this morning, think they're roughly 50-50 on making the dance at this time though, even after winning lastnight. Bfo
Think I missed the boat on Minnesota. Have a Caesars sheet dated 2/20 that has them at 400-1, but I'm pretty sure that's gone by now.
FISHHEAD
It may not be, you should check it out, got 500-1 at stations just this week. LOL, if Minny won title and didn't hedge a cent, would win $943,200, ha. They're my favorite CBB future in a portfolio of many, a couple of which I have no clue why they're even there. If not mistaken, had an average $$$ position with your Seton Hall last season, and they failed me.
Bfo
Longest odds ticket I'm holding is 2000-1 on Providence, still available at William Hill.
FISHHEAD
That's not bad, will ponder that. Would rather have PROV. at 2000-1 than Seton Hall at 750-
FISHHEAD
NW +3.5 dog at Indiana tommorow. Big game for Seton Hall, -6 favs on the road at DePaul
