First off, this is a power ratings play for me as I have this game graded at VCU -1.48. While VCU has won 7 straight games, they've been rather mediocre ATS wise at a 3-5-1 ATS run their last 9 games. Meanwhile, we're buying Richmond "low" as the Spiders just lost to George Mason by 23 points on the road earlier this week, a game they were favored by 2 in. Prior to that, Richmond was on a 4-1 SU/5-0 ATS run and the only SU loss in that stretch was only by 7 at VCU when they were +10.5. There won't be any VCU intimidation factor and Richmond has a legit defense. Finally, I don't mind playing against the line move today as VCU opened -3.5.
