Plommer answered that long layoffs of 5 days or more are bad. Today so far 3 of 4 teams that played off the layoff lost. The 4th team is losing 2-0 with 1 period to go. 14 of the 16 NHL teams that have had a break of 5 days or more have lost their 1st game back after the layoff. Talk about easy money. I mentioned it only because Green Doberman was asking about it recently. I first heard it mentioned on a Hockey Night broadcast weeks ago.
