Happens all the time actually. People don't realize they have the wrong box checked. Honest mistake but also some dullardness involved.

There are three options: wager amount, risk amount, and to win amount.

 

I had wager amount checked. Just did it again and checked risk amount and it went through.

 

Not sure what the difference is between wager amount and risk amount. Seem like one and the same to me..

risk amount is how much you are risking.  on a dog you risk 100 to win say 150.  On a favorite if you put 100 you will win less than 100 (dont do this)

 

to win amount is how much you are wanting to win.  on a favorite if you  put 100 and it will charge you the correct price.  On a dog if you put 100 you win be risking less than 100 to win 100.  (Don't do this)

 

wager amount.  Figures you are either trying to win $100 on a favorite and charges you the line.  Or figures you want to risk 100 on the dog to win the + money

 

this last one is the one you should always use so you dont make mistakes. (do this)

 

 

and calling the software dumb was pretty funny.

I'm well aware of "risk amount" vs "to win amount".  Thats obvious and that should be the only options.  Why even have a "wager amount" if its confusing?  A "wager" is a bet, and should be how much you are risking.

 

Ive only bet at Bovada for the last 10 years or so.  The interface is nothing like this PPH.  They have 2 boxes.  You can type in what you want to risk or what you want to win.  Easy and no confusion.

 

The third option seems unnecessary.  So then yes.  It's dumb.
