It was hard for me to get used to it after playing for the last ten years were you can bring chips over the and bet what ever you want or call. I had been called a few times for bringing like $28 over the line and betting $20 and the dealer forcing me to bet $28. Annoying but really not that big of a deal. Then we get to the hand that set me off. There is a straddle and the button opens to 16. I have QJo and against any button open I'm calling. So I make my call like I have done at every point during the last ten years. I grab a bunch of chips in my hand and make two stacks of four for the 16 call. The dealer says I have to raise because I had like $26 worth of chips in my hand. I'm kind of pissed about this and let the dealer know that' s a bull shit rule. Anyways he says I have to raise to 32. I'm like dude the raise is 12 over the straddle and 28 is the minimum raise. Anyways floor gets called and floor says I have to raise to 32 which they are flat out wrong about so now I'm getting even more pissed. So I throw out the other $4 and the button raises to 80. Now I'm really steaming and the pleasantries are all over. I tell the floor fukk that shit rule because the button knows I'm not that strong when I try to call and get forced to raise and its a free shot at my money. The dealer says that rule has been in place a long time now. I immediately tell him to fukk himself and to STFU. Floor goes over and grabs some racks and says this is my last hand. I tell him to fukk himself and to eat a dick and this is the last hand i'm ever playing in this run down dump of a casino. Donk 1 raises to $8 early position and donk #2 calls... I know these 2 guys are very exploitable if I hit a big hand, probably get them both stacked... im on the button with K-J... a mediocre hand but good enough against these guys range... I repop to $32 and the two morons call. Flop is J-6-2 which is great, have a decent kicker... only worried about AJ or 66, 22 unless one of the fucks is slow playing Aces or Queens, which is rare but a possibility... donk one raises to $75, donk two folds and I stare him down, guy is clearly posturing, his demeanor, body language and trash talk lets me know he wants me to fold, bad. I repop him all in for like $300 and change more... Idiot insta calls with Q-2 Yes, Queeen fucking Deuce........ Turn is a blank, river is.... a motherfuckin Queen.......... an $800 pot down the drain... guy starts talking shit, says something about raising with KJ. I snap, tell him if I was him Id shut the fuck up or shit might get ugly. Table gets super tense, guy goes out for a smoke break at the parking lot. For close to 30mins I debated what to do. I wanted to come outside and fuck this fucker fuckin midget up. I recovered my $ some pots later but ultimately, lots of idiots at the poker tables live and online. I really cant complain about the dealers in CR... very few fuckups... just 1 guy that stands out as I remember him being really slow, rushing decisions on players (while he slows shit down), miscounting rake and just a permanent resting bitch mug. It sounds to me like you pushed more chips than a call so were forced into a raise. Isn't that standard? What casino would let you pull chips back for a call? None that I know of.
