jasson621
RD if you get heartburn like that again one heaping tsp of baking soda in about 10 .oz of cold water mixed thoroughly and guzzle it down, immediate relief. It is salty but cures any heartburn.
rdalert447
Thanks, I’ll definitely try that. Have had chronic heartburn for years.

rdalert447
Drank a bottle of Lucky Duck Malbec. Wasn’t bad for $5. 12.5% ABV. Says on the label it had aromas if blueberries and chocolate. I didn’t catch that, but would buy it again at that price.

rdalert447
Solid jug in the $15 range. Not sure if I’ve told this story but a bit embarrassing how I found it. Used to frequent an Italian restaurant in Queens that was famous(locally) for their homemade wine. We’d always have a couple carafes at dinner, then buy a bottle to go. They charged about $22 for a 1.5 liter bottle. Turns out they were using Opici “Homemade” style. Technically not lying, but at the time my friends and I thought we were hot shit drinking authentic homemade wine.

Very sensitive to headaches whenever I drink red wine. It's weird, but I do like the stuff. Have any of you ever tried the boxed wine- Franzia? LOL Actually not that bad. rdalert447
Boxed wines seem to be big now. Also saw canned wines at the liquor store. That’s a new one to me.

The X
See more and more wines with the screw top, too.Yes screw caps are becoming more popular. So the wine is not "corked" which means less spoiled wine for the winemaker. And more profits. Screw caps are pretty much bulletproof. KingRevolver
Exactly. A lot of snobs hate 'em. I don't mind them one bit. But, hey, I tend to a beer snob, so I guess there's gotta be wine snobs.
