Dingo Posted January 10, 2018 Report Share Posted January 10, 2018 Let’s assume you will work 49 weeks at 40 hours a week 49x40=1960hours at 10.00 current rate =19,600 before taxes49x40=1960 hours at 19.00 trade rate. =37,240 before taxes Difference in gross wages 37,240-19,600= +17,640 per yearOpportunity cost of going to school but not the cost of schooling 39,200 39,200/17,640=~2.28 So in roughly 2 years and 4 months the money you make at your new job will be gravy!
