All of the people that wanted fades were the first people basically running him off.  In poker, we'd call that tapping the aquarium.

An old discussion from 2012 in the SBR thinktank.  The contexts are bashing posters and running them off and posting useful information is pubilc forums.. Nothing much of value in the thread so it's not really worth reading.  There are appearances from several current forum celebrities.

MF is still apparently having trouble with the "tap the glass"  expression.

Monkey used to be a professional poker player? I hate to use cliches but don't tap the glass. If somebody doesn't understand what this means, ask around. I can't discuss such sensitive things in a public forum. You guys might use it against me and destroy the +EV of my million dollar NFL model.

MF replied:

"Tapping the glass" is similar to providing modeling methodologies to the public for free. Although, it's quite a bit more complex than combinatorics (outs) and equity in poker.

Either I have a good memory or I'm obsessed with MF.

Well

The time has come

I was permanently banned from SBR and EOG, not by my choice, but this one is by my choice.

Going out on my own terms, and its a permaban that i requested from kinger.

Just sick and fucking tired of the same morons posting the same nonsense over and over and over and over.

This bullshit has to end, and i'm done feeding it.

Shit was fun, but those days are long gone.

So enjoy your time, i'm done for good here, and Kinger shall make that a fact after this thread.

:hat

Possibly one of you people, who has a good memory, is crafty with search functions, and has nothing better to do can make a top 10 Brock final post list.

Something like........

1. Today I either stop gambling or I die.

2. Blah, blah, blah, drops mic

3. This bullshit has to end, and i'm done feeding it.

I think you're having problems with the "tap the glass" analogy. You guys accused me of derailing a thread to create a discussion on publicly educating people about modeling. That is exactly the opposite of "tapping the glass". You realize the phrase connotates educating fish. Right?

Can't have it both ways.

i actually thought it meant yelling at them or criticizing their bad play so they wouldn't play any more (run/swim away)

not sure how tapping on an aquarium would teach a fish anything

he's been very angry, and was emailing me (and i suspect others) looking to meet up for lunch

so it seems like he needs money... if he would put his passion for junk food and dumb bets into actually working for a living he would be fine... probably spends 16 hours a day thinking about chicken wings, could easily work a double shift

How would you meet for lunch? Don’t you live in Wisconsin? That guy drives all over the MidWest

There’s no way Brock pays the over mileage bill on that Hyundai. Must file bankruptcy right after handing it in

that car has to have some serious miles on it

200 miles round trip to chicago for business three times a week

100 miles to st louis to play $5 bj twice a week

car trips to vegas, new orleans, cedar point

daily trips of 50-100 miles for chicken sandwiches

12000 miles a year max on the lease and guy drives that in a month

the mileage fee will just be another line item on his next bankruptcy
