yisman
Playing a three bagger today. Looks like the races are staying on turf, for now.... Race 3$20 Win #9 Rarities 6-1Motion usually scores once a year with a two year old turf first time starter. He had a powerful dirt winner yesterday, so maybe that’s a sign that the barn is starting to roll. Race 5$40 Win #1 Belleville Spring 15-1$2 Ex 1/ALL$1 P3 1/ALL/7Cannizzo’s meet has been a nightmare, but I’ll follow until the bitter end. This horse had a nightmare trip going first start after switching barns from Weaver to Cannizzo. Horse suits Cannizzo though. It’s all speed, so after last race’s bump at the start, it had no chance. Hope it breaks clean and goes out winging. Race 8$40 Win #7 Breaking Lucky 9-2$2 Ex 7/ALLReversal of the above scenario. This horse goes first time Weaver after almost a year layoff. Weaver also has had a nightmare meet to this point, but I feel he may have a few up his sleeve these last two weeks. This one has crazy class, and might want a little more distance, but won’t be surprised if Weaver has it ready today. Hopefully the layoff scares the bettors elsewhere.Rd that’s r6 not r5 Nice winner other day, I missed it
yisman
Heads up...Major pick 5 carryover at del mar today.Almost 800,000 Sequence begins with r1 at 2 pm PDT Probably won’t be overlay. Whenever there’s a carryover, computer groups pour in huge amounts of money and it is all wiped away. Track makes even more money.

yisman
New money for the Del Mar pick 5 was over $5 million. Groups hit it heavy. Add the carryover and it was a $5.8 million pool.

rdalert447
Played both Cannizzo horses today, and the one Weaver. One of these stiffs has to have a big finish in them. rdalert447
Nice card today, even with three races off turf. Let's build that bankroll for CLOSING WEEK, where the bombs fall like ripe fruit. Feature is the John's Call, a turf marathon named for a Hall of Fame horse trained by legendary jumps/flat trainer Tom Voss. Coincidentally, Voss' daughter has two entered on the card. Gotta figure at least one is well meant, preferably the Stakes starter. Race 1$20 win #4 No Wunder 5-1$2 ExBx 1-4$1 P3 1,4/ALL/6Voss in the jumps on John's Call Stakes Day. Don't overthink it. Probably won't get the 5-1, but the Kingsley horse should take the bulk of the win wagers being that he's won half the jump races here so far this year. Race 5$20 win #5 Ostrolenka 20-1$2 ex 5/ALLCannizzo has been a bankroll killer BUT take a good look at this one's history. First start today under Cannizzo, who immediately moves it from sprinting to routing on dirt. For some reason the last few trainers that had Ostrolenka stuck to sprints, hasn't routed in two years. But look at the success it had routing in 2016, 2015 and 2014. Crazy. Why has it been sprinting?? No idea. But in a race loaded with suspect speed going a route, 20-1 on a stalker/closer with back routing class looks juicy. Race 8$20 win #2 Table for Six 6-1$2 DD ALL/7Nicks second time out here has been good to me over the years. I'll stick with it. Race 9$20 win #7 Renown 30-1Voss' marathoner in the Stakes named for her father's superstar. Nostalgic, yes, but there's more to it than that. Horse is gonna get the distance in a race full of question marks in the stamina category, horse will love the "GOOD" going, plus horse has raced well while being bet in this same race before. She's entered a few others in this one before, but they've usually shown great efforts in the Cape Henlopen as a prep then have failed here. This one appears to have used the Henlopen as a prep for this. Hopefully..... Anyone involved today?
MadTiger
I just came into the thread to make sure people knew about that #4 horse in the first at Saratoga. No Wunder is the call. Good looking out, rdalert447.
rdalert447
Thanks, Tiger. No Wunder on top would’ve worked better a smidge, but I’ll take what I can get. Jumps continue to offer value, contrary to what the retarded pro’s tell us.

WeinkeToWarrick
I did an exacta box for $1 with the top 5 horses. Nice call on the 7, RD. Wish I’d played a tri and/or super box and done something remarkable...don’t think I’ve ever done that in a race with more than 5 horses
rdalert447
Glad to see someone cashed a bit, Weinkes. I thoroughly blew it. Coulda, woulda, shoulda......
WeinkeToWarrick
Same, honestly. It’s sad to think for $2.40 more I could have boxed my top 4 numbers in a super and made $
rdalert447
More jumps, more value.... Race 1$20 Win #7 All the Way Jose 20-1$2 exbx 7/1,3,6$2 DD 1,3,6,7/4Horse will get lost in the betting shuffle for Hall of Famer Sheppard. His lower priced entrant will take money as will the Irish invaders. Of the two Sheppard entries, this one is the more accomplished. Toss last race as it was an obvious tightener after a two month layoff. Sitting at 6-1 with an hour to post time, just sit back and enjoy the odds drift. rdalert447
More value from the jumps. Unfortunately couldn’t get a taste.
