Should Washington sign Kap?

I know he has a lawsuit pending and he's been out of football for almost 2 years. BUT, Kaepernick works out weekly and surely he's a better option than Mark Sanchez. Kap nearly won a SB and has a lifetime stat of 72 TD's and 30 INT's. Sanchez last night was 13-of-21 for 100 yards (4.8 yards per attempt) with no touchdowns and one interception against a banged-up Eagles defense.

Washington hosts the New York Giants, travels to face the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans and then closes out the season at home against the Philadelphia Eagles. There are plenty of winnable games in that stretch. Even if Dallas wins the division, Washington is tied with Philadelphia and Carolina a half game back of the Minnesota Vikings for the second wild card spot. The playoffs are a very real possibility.

But I'm not expecting the Foreskins to change and it seems pretty obvious Washington is prepared to miss the playoffs rather than sign Kaepernick.

Washington head coach Jay Gruden said the Redskins discussed Colin Kaepernick but opted against pursuing him because they'd have to change too much of their offense. With only four weeks left in the season, Gruden said the Redskins did not want to go in that direction.

Why are people still talking about Kap?

He doesn't want to play football so it doesn't matter.

That’s odd. Kaepernick has maintained a training regimen and has expressed his desire to try out for a team. The Redskins supposedly considered him but then decided to go in a different direction.

The old boy network will never let Kap play again.....Ray Rice has a better shot.....

He shouldn't be allowed to play again, but I think he has a slight chance, the problem is he'll never get a chance to start a season, every year you have  a new crop of rookie QB's full of promise - they'll suck up any open slots. Kaps only hope is as a midseason injury replacement.

The Broncos offered him a contract and he didn't take it.  Sounds like a guy that really wants to play.

The guy just wants to stay in the news and stay relevant for marketing purposes.  Simple as that.

Kap could’ve had a job with the Ravens too if he hadn’t have gone suicide by cop right before they offered him a deal.

Guy is pussy whipped by an activist girlfriend plain and simple. 10 years from now he will realize he just wanted to play football and will regret all this shit.

So he passed on Denver in August. I guess that automatically means he wants nothing to do with the other 31 teams. Doesn't matter. Sanchez makes more sense. Lifetime 86 TD's and 87 INT's.

No.  It means if he really wanted to play football, he had his chance.

And it completely discredits any claims of being blackballed by the league.

This is a non-story.  Fits the narrative of the far left so they will continue to run with it for as long as they can.

Not to mention all the controversy and drama that would result if a team signed him, no team needs that from a guy who's mediocre at best.
