That's about the extent of it. I liked NWA back when I was a kid but it's hard to listen to now. Never liked Prince. Whitney Houston is chick music. Tina Turner? Hard pass. Depeche Mode? Never. I listened to all of it (sans heavy metal) but agree with Monkey here. except REM obviously. I LOVED 80s music in the 80s....REALLY loved it....but has not stood the test of time for me like 70s music has. There are many good bands that I still appreciate from the 80s, but many I used to love that I just can’t listen to anymore. The Smiths are one that lost their luster for me surprisingly.
