mikeman
I'm planning a trip there in the late summer, with a side trip to see Devils Tower in Wyoming. I know deadwood has a lot of casino's, what are they like, any comments or tips? Do they comp drinks? Also, anyone done the hikes around devils tower? Rushmore is FANTASTIC, a stone throw from Deadwood and like most national parks the concession prices are reasonable... i remember the ice cream cones being high quality at mount rushmore my favorite part of south dakota is custer state park, they even had a brand new theater a couple years ago with a film narrated by kevin costner

Gambling and drinking at night.

I was shocked at how few table games were available at some of the casinos mid week. I don’t know if I remember being in any mid week where there was more than one was going. I think part of the problem is lack of help also. They even had to close down the craps game to open the roulette table for me early afternoons. There is a giant big shiny new hotel casino though there, and they may have more to offer at any given time.
IAG
Damn u Merlin.... Now u have me wanting to make a road trip this weekend. Will NOT bring any feline(s) next time around. If you have questions regarding different hotels, let me know. I’m guessing you will want to stay at the cheapest place, so I didn’t bother giving you my recommendations for now. Jay Trotter
Saloon #10 has the chair Wild Bill Hickock was sitting in when he was killed above the door. Kind of strange, but cool.

I’m guessing you will want to stay at the cheapest place, so I didn’t bother giving you my recommendations for now.I booked the second cheapest place, it's called the gold country inn, it's $106 + tax for 2 nights - the reviews for it are actually quite good, although it is an older place apparently, I'm also gonna get a $35 kickback from booking.com. Just like in vegas, I'll hardly be in the room other than sleeping and powdering my nose. Sounds great that drinks are comped there, for the other poster, there are indian casino's that comp them, Hinkley does at a $10+ table.
