Governors, tribal governments, and gaming regulators closed nearly 1,000 casinos in 43 states beginning in mid-March in an effort to slow the spread of the COIVD-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The only announced casino reopening was from Idaho’s Coeur d’Alene Tribal Council, which plans to reopen the Coeur d’Alene Casino on Friday. Several Las Vegas Strip resorts are accepting hotel room reservations for mid- or late May, including Treasure Island and Wynn Las Vegas.

A casino in Butte said its prepared to reopen Monday and is taking precautions to make sure customers are safe from exposure to the coronavirus.

Owners of the Drunk'n Miner Saloon and Casino spent the day spacing out its gaming machines to maintain social distancing and put up Plexiglass shields to further protect customers form potential exposure.

"But we wanted to just go above an beyond to ensure safety, ensure there's not cross contamination or contamination in the event that someone sneezes or coughs."

The state is allowing bars and casinos to open Monday under strict social distancing requirements.

Inslee's communications office told Q13 News the Governor heard from the Stillaguamish Tribe at the end of April about its plan to re-open by May 4.

Officials said Inslee listened to the chairman and acknowledged the Tribe's sovereignty but encouraged a reopening should be considered collaboratively.

The Governor’s office said the Tribe then informed Inslee of their plan to reopen the casino on May 11.

Sports betting was approved in April and the 29 tribal casinos have yet to take a sports bet...  The tribes are very eager.

I don't know if the old ladies are going to pack the bingo rooms and slot machines like they used to, but ducking in to place a sports bet at the book or a kiosk seems pretty low risk.
