Teddy kgb
WEDNESDAY Tampa Bay Race No. 5 (3 p.m. ET/Noon PT) Ted likes #4 Clear as Day (8/1 morning line). “Look for this improving 4-year-old daughter of Sky Mesa to repeat her winning effort of four weeks ago when she broke her maiden as a lukewarm choice at a mile on the turf. Capable Angel Suarez returns to ride for sharp trainer Michael Stidham (29% winners). Wager: Win and box in Exactas with 1, 5 and 8.” Tampa Bay Race No. 7 (4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT) Ted likes #8 California Sun (6/1 morning line). This 3-year-old returns after seven months with a new jockey and a change back to turf, where he won wire-to-wire the last time he ran on the grass. But the biggest change is California Sun is a first-time gelding, which often improves a horse’s performance. If it gets back to the form he showed in that prior turf race, this former sprinter can wire this field, too.
rdalert447
Stidham’s having a ridiculous meet. I didn’t even notice until he swept a big exacta on Sunday. I never bet that guy but guess I need to pay attention to him. Good luck, Ted.

Teddy kgb
Past day’s results: WEDNESDAY Tampa Bay Race No. 5 Ed Sehon liked #4 Clear as Day (8/1 morning line)…went off 6/1…stalked a few lengths off the pace with a ground-saving trip, closed on the rail to win by a neck, paying $15.20 to Win & $7.40 to Place. Teddy kgb
Thursday Gulfstream Race No. 8 (4:49 p.m. ET/1:49 PT) Dave Tuley likes #1 Gilda F (8/1 morning line). This 4-year-old filly fits right in with these $6,250 claimers. She was racing at higher levels last year before dropping to this level in January and just losing by a length. Gilda F. outran her 22/1 odds in that race, but the fact she came up short will hopefully help us get this morning-line price. Gulfstream Race No. 9 (5:19 p.m. ET/2:19 PT) Ed Sehon likes #2 Lido Key (6/1 morning line). “After her maiden score at Tampa Bay Downs on March 6, this 4-year-old daughter of multiple-graded-stakes winner Lemon Drop Kid was sent to sharp conditioner Kenny McPeak’s barn at Keeneland. When the Spring meet there was postponed, she worked three times before vanning down to Gulfstream and being entered in this competitive allowance turf mile. It’s a long way to travel if she’s not ready to roll. Leading rider Irad Ortiz Jr. is icing on the cake. Wager: Win & Place.” Gulfstream Race No. 10 (5:49 p.m. ET/2:49 PT) Duane Colucci likes #1 Bow Town Cat (6/1 morning line). “Slight step up in class for this mare that learned how to rate off the pace last time. Instead of blowing herself out on the lead, this led to victory. Bow Town Cat also likes this track, running her career-best dirt Beyer of 84. She should sit off a hot pace and get going late.”
