They graded it as off odds because of scratches, but still counted the full loss of the other horse I hammered in the race also at fixed odds. Said if there’s more than one scratch they adjust payouts. I could swear he told me that the fixed odds bookies outside the track in London in the good old days would pay off their fixed odds bets they booked as long as that horse ran. Other nags wouldn't matter if scratched or not cause that's why you take fixed odds in the first place otherwise anytime there is a scratch they can fiddlefuck with the payout all they want.
