What he's doing is pumping up those areas where the votes can come easily. In counties where he won 60-40 last time he can easily pump that up to 70-30 or even better. Rural americans are totally different from urban america, they hate what's going on. When i was out in the dakotas this summer, it's normal in the casinos for dealers and others to ask where you're from, as soon as I said the twin cites/mpls they would all freeze and say WTF is going on back there? The idea that what's happening in the big cites could come there will drive enormous numbers of them to trump. The old working class/union democrats are all going republican. Like you said, it’s an area that the D’s are probably not campaigning at. It’s a BIG deal for any president to go there. The same goes to him going to Bemidji, similar type of city.
