AT LEAST 30.54% of the total deaths (95 of the 311 COVID-19 deaths) were fully vaccinated in Illinois last week. Combining the last two weeks, that's a rate of 26.74% (161 of 602) of the total COVID-19 deaths being fully vaccinated people in the state of Illinois. Again, this is 3rd grade math. There are 6,965,241 fully vaccinated people in Illinois. There are 847,695 who have received one dose (7,529,057 with at least one dose minus the 6,965,241 fully vaccinated). The population of Illinois is 12,741,080. That leaves the unvaccinated population at 5,212,023. That means... 54.67% of the state of Illinois is fully vaccinated and 40.90% of the population is unvaccinated. In no possible way is there a mathematical formula on the planet using that VERY REAL DATA DIRECTLY FROM THE STATE OF ILLINOIS which yields a rate of an unvaccinated person being 11x more likely to die with COVID-19 than a fully vaccinated person. More third grade math... 26.74% (the two week fully vaccinated percentage) divided by 54.67% (the fully vaccinated population) is a ratio of 0.4891. 73.26% (the remaining death total percentage) divided by 40.90% (the unvaccinated population) is a ratio of 1.7909. 1.7909/0.4891 = 3.66 That means, in the last two weeks in Illinois, there's been AT MOST a 3.66x greater chance of dying with COVID-19 if you're unvaccinated versus being unvaccinated. Of course, that's all third grade math and assumes the worst case scenario - that every single death has vaccination status recorded for the person and that every single death outside of the recorded breakthrough deaths is completely unvaccinated and does not include a single person who received just one shot of the mRNA vaccines.
