rdalert447
That was crazy. Looked like the horse stopped on a dime mid stretch, then moved right to get around a horse, and never lost momentum. Don’t see that very often. Horse had a ton of things go his way in that race, especially the early pace. Probably won’t win another race in its career, if it even runs again. He almost has to.
rdalert447
There’s been a few times in history where some unbelievable long shots have never been heard from again after winning a classic.
rdalert447
And the owners don’t want to expose the horse as a fluke, so right to the breeders shed they go.

But it could be he is a great horse, he could win the triple crown along with it's huge extra payouts and future syndication rights. Obviously that would be incredible but that's why they have to try - he MUST go to the preakness if uninjured.
mikeman
At the preakness there might only be a dozen horses? He wouldn't need a miracle path.
rdalert447
Side note, jockey on Epicenter never should have let that horse come up the inside. A little dirt to the face would’ve stopped that rally cold.
xyz
What a race. Still can't believe a horse not even in the field won the whole enchilada.

mikeman
Dont agree at all with their decision to skip the preakness, they'll regret it if he wins the belmont. But It's not my horse.

rdalert447
Greg Foley has an interesting one in at Churchill today. Major Fed is listed at 10-1. Don’t know if we get that price, but anything near it seems pretty generous. Horse ran in the derby two years ago, was considered the star of the barn, but had traffic trouble in the big race. Ever since, the horse has seemed better than allowance level but a notch below stakes foes. Kind of an in-betweener. Today we get him in an allowance race, at its preferred dirt route, second off a layoff. Last race was a good effort and has nice back class. I started a Hail Mary pick three in race 6 also. Race 6 $1 P3 2/ALL/4 Race 8 $20 Win #4 Major Fed 10-
