They were always held in high esteem culturally and athletically.

But not being championship contenders of late has diminished their influence athletically.

The USC situation is similar.

The public has a shorter attention span than ever.

5 star recruits are 18 years old and they all want to play for Georgia and Alabama.

A good broadcast window against Ohio State should draw eyeballs, I watched it too.

The bloom is off a lot of the old roses. Army may have been among the most storied football programs of them all but nobody cares any more.

College football players are essentially free agents now and they're calling the shots.

IOWA slightly better than ND since 2001.......................

IOWA  183 wins and 10 bowl wins ( BIggest being Orange )

ND 184 wins and 7 bowl wins ( Biggest being Citrus)

Now, having said that about so-so above average programs..........if a CFB fan both home teams venues should be on everyone's bucket list.
