milwaukee mike
16 hours ago, FISHHEAD said: MIKE, do you at least have an ELECTRIC MOWER? i just got one, since the gas self-propelled was sputtering around went with EGO 2-blade higher end one, has more power than the gas used to, only complaints are... 1) on mulching it goes pretty slow 2) making square turns is a bit clunky, i release the self-propel otherwise it tries to take off into the air lol

Every little bit does not help, we just had the largest year over year increase in CO-2 ever. Historically CO-2 is rising at 2-3 ppm/yr. mikeman
I'm loving these methane levels too, it's a far more potent greenhouse gas than CO-2(although far less concentrated in the atmosphere).

My problem with an electric mower or perhaps a snow blower is the batteries. If you buy a fairly high quality gas mower and take care of it it can last 20 years or more. i suspect the battery packs on these electric things will not last. i bet after 8-10-12 years they wont hold a charge, and the cost to replace them is not reasonable. mikeman
Hmmm, is it just me or is this not very good? Just think when things get much better they'll only lose $50K/car. https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/energy/ford-lost-132000-each-electric-vehicle-it-sold-first-quarter-2024

Most that wanted them have already bought them. The EV push didn't work, Ford admitted to losing billions on it, and hydrogen is already being worked on as a much better replacement option. Plus this doesn't help. The cyber truck is one of the ugliest automobiles I've ever seen. We're not fucking Batman riding down the road either. Most don't need a bullet proof truck. Outside of being bullet proof it's pretty useless for a truck.
