I usually stay at a family friends cabin in Tahoe so it's been probably 5 years since I've stayed at a hotel casino. I stayed at montblue last time but it was kinda a dump. It apparently got a recent make over but figure I'll give a new place a try. Now I'm Mr. Henderson. And in two weeks I'll hopefully be Mr. Northern California. All three of us say enjoy the lake while you can get to it before the fires start! If you want easy money then bop down the hill to the Atlantis and play there on Saturday night. Maybe that's a bad idea. Don't go to Reno at all. Reno sucks a bag of dicks. I typed "best casino in Tahoe" into Google and the first name that came up was Boomtown. WTF! Lakeside? They have $75 Bounty Tournament on Saturdays at 7:30 pm. If the new Hard Rock is across from Montblue (which is basically next door to Harrahs), then I will have to check it out and report back my findings. Harrahs and Harvey's are the two hotel casinos I grew up visiting and most people consider them "the best" but when I went to gamble There last year it was seriously 90% old people. It's not too bad, ON the lake is another thing. Condo can be had for decent price, but anything to live at on the lake is Alot. But 5 minutes from the lake, very affordable. I often see open casino positions in my field. Had a great time playing Sigma. My GF and I tilted some old guy next to us by barely knowing how to play the game and hitting an 8-1 on our first race for a enough quarters for a nice dinner and my gf jumping around like we hit the lottery. I couldn't deal living in Tahoe year round as I'm not a huge fan of snow. Know many people who have cabins here (if you can call them that ,'some are more like "rustic mansions") but very few who live here full time. You do get all 4 seasons , there's gambling, the lake is amazing, tons of great outdoor stuff, and if you're into snow sports that's a huge plus with a bunch of ski resorts in the area. AW, it's difficult to do better than the Caribbean. If you like snow and majestic scenery then Tahoe is awesome. You can even live in Truckee which has kind of charming streets and is cheaper than right on the lake but that's California and then you have the taxes. The only thing that's bad about Tahoe is that lake is motherfucking cold. You can sit in the water off St. Croix for hours. Lake Tahoe you can last like a minute.
