I think a lot of us engage in what's known as casual racism. That being that we don't want any harm to come to others, but really just want to avoid those we deem as problematic to our safety. I served in the Army with them, I taught English to them in school and I worked with them for 28 years. They held up my Dad's liquor store 3 times and shoplifted from him every day.
