Monday and Tuesday are the BF’s days off, and I have Dr. appointments in Rapid on Tuesday/Wed…we were thinking of going down Monday and staying to make it easier as one is 7 am and I can’t have any coffee for like 12 hours prior…lol Why you coming on a Monday? I was going to stay another night in deadwood on the way back but that would be a sat - rates are $150+, a smidge more than I consider reasonable. This is my biggest challenge on this trip - climbing black mesa in Ok - highest point in the state, The main issue is it's a 8.5 mile hike(rd trip) and it'll be 95 degrees if I'm lucky.
