maron
For rental houses...and cost of living...anywhere within the state... not just AC or LV
Sports
Nevada, not even close. People see NJ in decay and assume it must be cheap to live there, what they don't realize is NJ has some of the highest taxes and costs of living in the country. The Seer
Moving for good? Buy cheap LV condo. starting at $400 per mo. total payment and you own it.
Woodrow Wilson
Nevada and quite a bit cheaper. Much lower taxes are a good enough reason to live in NV instead of NJ.
bookbraker
NJ has a lot of beach but the funny thing is it has a lot of farm land too. Sod farms in particular.

The Seer
If you own guns, stay far away from NJ. Do not even drive through it with a gun in trunk. Hundreds of examples of LEOs taking for no law.
maron
Vegas it is. Was looking to go out on business to either place for a month or two. Rent a place for that period. Thanks all
KingRevolver
Jersey is a police state. There are some nice places along the beach and it does have some charm, but Nevada is better for a number of reasons.
maron
Jersey is a police state. There are some nice places along the beach and it does have some charm, but Nevada is better for a number of reasons. I have noticed that East of the Mississippi River, people are more uptight than they are out West. Disappointing to hear about Jersey police. I wanted to try some of that new sports betting out there but will resign myself to Vegas

maron
Let me ask this' date=' Would you raise a family in Las Vegas?? [/quote'] I would not raise my family in either. I have business that can be done in either one of the two locales. Almost everyone here agrees on Vegas and that is what I thought going in...AC came on the radar because of the NJ sportsbetting developments

milwaukee mike
I'd be concerned with education, health care, and veterinary care. public school system is horrible for the most part (like milwaukee) but if you are in a nice area like anthem/henderson then the public schools appear fine. almost every city has casinos and strip clubs, that doesn't mean you have to raise your kids right across the street from them! after a couple house hunting visits, the families i spoke with in suburban vegas seemed happier and healthier than the people in suburban milwaukee. every place in the country can be a horrible place to raise a family if you have a negative attitude, and it can be a fun place to raise a family if you have a positive attitude. FISHHEAD
Most kids learn outside the classroom, and are also a reflection of their parents..........education systems overrated actually, although Vegas is way below par in this aspect, and also, medical care here is absolutely horrible. Right now, Vegas is a much better place to live than it was 15 years ago.

"my son got all A's!" oh yeah, well he's still an obnoxious little shit lol
