Timely Hitting
Good deal for the Mets. Control is really difficult to regain post TJ - the hardest thing to get back - and Wheeler already lacked it. Flores is terrible. Gomez is a game changer - elite defender, great speed and ++ power. tripp
Last resort since they can't trust their staff in the playoffs. Go 5-6 innings then turn it over to Betances, Miller and Kimbrel. You think Kimmy would be the closer when Miller has been lights out in that role all year? I mean it makes sense because then you have the lefty for matchups and Kimmy is a proven closer but that would be tough to yank him from that role with 0 blown saves and really never even getting into trouble
TobyTyler
Gomez is def an upgrade to the offense as it sits now in Mets land but never been all that high on him either. I need to see more before i buy into him being one of those upper level producers. big fan of Gomez he seems slightly insane.
Timely Hitting
big fan of Gomez he seems slightly insane.guy just plays with passion. fuck the old white guys with their dumb baseball shit - it's like golf. gomez shows emotion and excitement on the field and it rubs some of the morons the wrong way. no one who has ever played with carlos has a bad thing to say about the guy. i would have loved for the sox to get him. tripp
Gomez is an incredible talent. Could stand to have better plate discipline and cut down on the Ks though

I personally wouldn't take Miller out of the role. Hated that the Nats did to Storen too.

Mofome
According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Dodgers, Yankees, Giants and Blue Jays are the four main teams vying to acquire David Price from the Tigers. All four teams have been in contact with the Tigers. In a move that came as a surprise to virtually no one, Dave Dombrowski announced Wednesday that the Tigers would listen to offers on their impending free agents, which immediately added another elite hurler to the trade market. With four big market clubs in the bidding, expect the Tigers to net a decent haul for the All-Star left-hander.
