Yisman in your opinion

lets say UNC beats Clemson 61 to 44

Stanford beats USC 17-10

and Michigan State beats Iowa 35-10

who would you select?

it's a tough call

obviously Iowa would be out

I'll tell you what I'd do, don't ask me to guess what the committee would do.

Alabama (assuming they beat Florida, if they somehow lose, that opens a spot)

Oklahoma

Michigan State

those three are a given

then the last spot would be between Ohio State, Stanford, and UNC

I'd give it to Ohio State, Stanford would be my fifth team, and UNC sixth

which would be Alabama/Ohio State and Oklahoma/Michigan State

As far as Clemson, I think they're out if they lose.

i HAVE A SERIOUS  QUESTION.  AND WE NEED IT SETTLED NOW.

WE DONT REALLY HAVE A BOOK, OR FORUM OR CONTEST LEAD MANAGING THIS CONTEST FOR rules.

if N Carolina wins the NCAA do people  think they get a refund for the win % portion??

or does it obvioulsy go all the the second place team?    like a dog or horse race with no money on the horse

as in we were not bidding against all other teams when we made our bids, just against position vs teams listed or added during the auction.

I dont want everyone who is in he "Thanks for playing" to be thinking they will get some money back if Noth Carolina finishes first or second.

question is how do we decide because there is not rules, and  a vote  would be for refund to all players for any NC funds casue most of you guys are in the "thanks for playing group" which is incorrect..

OK go at it..

I have no teams in this, but i think its pretty obvious that unless you have the 1st and 2nd place teams, you dont get paid for both.  Why if UNC wins the title and say Alabama got runner up would the person that got Alabama and 2nd place get paid for the first place prize?

I always thought it would be no action

if UNC beat Alabama then the Alabama bidder would get 25% or whatever and the rest would be a refund, although that would be a mess, returning all that money

definitely not second place getting the winner

if you didn't want to refund, you could do this:

2nd place treated as winner (like a bet 'winner without X', they have that on 5 Dimes a lot)

then 2nd place money would be split between losers of the first round (tie for third place)
