Get this, Iowa could potentially be 11-0 .............and potentially be an underdog in their season fianle ...............to a 5-6 Nebraska squad.

I think IOWA would be favored in that game, but not by much

Iowa -2.5

which is why it's strange they're only 3.5 point underdogs to MSU

this is a parimutual contest clearly.  you could bid on any team in the country the rules were in place.  all others got $0

the pool is split between teams compared  to other teams bid (like parimutual to set the odds) .  there is no NC refund in play here obviously.  so dont beg for that.

OK lets move along.

"As we head into this weekend’s College Football Championship Games, the College Football Playoff is starting to become a little clearer. #3 Oklahoma has secured their spot, having finished their regular season with a trio of convincing victories against the best the Big 12 has to offer in Baylor, TCU, and Oklahoma State. Since there isn’t a Big 12 Championship Game, the Sooners are already locked into one of the four playoff spots.

We also know that whoever wins Saturday night’s Big Ten Championship Game will receive an invitation. #4 Iowa finished the regular season undefeated (although they did not play any of the heavyweights in the conference, missing Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State). #5 Michigan State – fresh off their big upset win against Ohio State on the road and a dominating effort in their regular season finale against Penn State – would also be a lock to move into the Top 4.

Iowa’s weak schedule has many doubting the Hawkeyes, and it’s no surprise the online sportsbooks list the lower-ranked Spartans as a solid 3.5-point favorite on a neutral field. Both teams feature good defenses that are built to stop the run, but Michigan State has a bit more firepower in the passing game.

The two teams that are in the driver’s seat for the final two spots are Clemson and Alabama. The Crimson Tide have easily been the best team in a down year for the SEC, and face a Florida team that exposed as a fraud last week in an embarrassing 27-2 blowout loss at home against Florida State. Gators were held to under 166 yards passing for the fourth time in five games, and now face the best defense they will have seen all season long. The online sportsbooks rightfully have Alabama as a massive 17-point favorite.

#1 Clemson does not have an easy game this week, and while they have all the motivation in the world this Saturday, this game against an underrated North Carolina team is going to be their toughest challenge so far. Tigers have not been a good road team this season (with a big exception at Miami FL) and an outright loss wouldn’t be a shock. Clemson is a five-point favorite.

Should North Carolina or Florida pull an upset this Saturday, then Ohio State may get a chance to defend their National Championship. Buckeyes are done for the season after beating up Michigan last week and climbed to #6 in the latest CFP Rankings. Although Ohio State wouldn’t be a conference champion, it would be hard to leave them out of the Top 4 and put a two-loss Stanford or Florida team in.

The final CFP Rankings will be released this Sunday afternoon, which means we’ll have our initial Bowl Preview next week."
